#065/100 Searchlight

under the searchlight i'm hiding beneath flowers
& the revolution will start. it will crack your shell & mine
oh such delusion--i'm only pressed against the floor to inhale
dust in a shadow pantomime. the deep purple
will tear down dew to reveal your form
     again & i cannot--i cannot fight it.

  1. Perfect Nicolette! What a great poem! And I love the image that goes with it. They are so intertwined! I've been there.
